There was no quiet way into PSL 11 for Islamabad United: a new auction, a new structure, and Mohammad Hasnain inside a squad that closed the league stage in second place, collecting 1 points along the way. United reached the playoffs yet again, keeping up the most consistent qualification record in the league.
Mohammad Hasnain profile
Death bowling is a separate skill in this competition, practised like a trade. The bowlers who own the final four overs get retained; the ones who leak there get auctioned. Every spell in that phase is an audition.
What stands out on the training ground is consistency of method, the product of a development path through franchise and domestic cricket inside Pakistan, where a single strong season can redraw a career: preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
Selection logic at Islamabad United starts with balance, and Shadab Khan's sides usually reflect it: spin is trusted through the middle overs even on true surfaces.

Why some lines say PENDING: this guide refuses to estimate career numbers. If the PCB, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a checked record list has not published it, the line waits.
The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium factor is real in this league: local knowledge of bounce, dew and boundary sizes is worth runs before a ball is bowled, and Islamabad United lean on it at home.
Mohammad Hasnain and PSL 12
With five to six venues in the PSL 12 plan, adaptability becomes a selection criterion in itself — the Islamabad United staff will weigh it before the opener against opponents such as Rawalpindiz or Peshawar Zalmi. Form in the National T20 pathway events also matters now, with the PCB using them as a talent-identification route into the auction.
