Few squads were talked about as much as Rawalpindiz before PSL 11, and Mohammad Amir Khan was right in the middle of it as the group ended the season in eighth place on 0 points. The season never matched the auction-day ambition in Rawalpindi.
Mohammad Amir Khan — the full profile
Auction squads are built in layers, and this layer matters more than outsiders think. When the first XI is set, these are the players competing to be the injury cover, the match-up pick, the final-over gamble.
The road here ran through Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers, and it shows in the way the role is played: match awareness — reading a chase, a pitch, a bowler's plan — tends to run ahead of raw numbers.
How Mohammad Rizwan builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

Evening games at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium have a particular rhythm — heat early, dew late — and Rawalpindiz's planning all season bends around it.
Mohammad Amir Khan and PSL 12
The season's shape — ten league matches, a four-team playoff squeeze — means slow starts are punished harder than ever; Rawalpindiz's early fixtures, with sides like Hyderabad Kingsmen and Peshawar Zalmi in the rotation, will set the tone. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
