Amad Butt — the full profile
All-rounders shape how a PSL XI balances. A player who can bat in the top seven and bowl two reliable overs gives the captain an extra option in every phase, which is gold across a 44-match season.
The road here ran through Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers, and it shows in the way the role is played: versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
Selection logic at Rawalpindiz starts with balance, and Mohammad Rizwan's sides usually reflect it: match-ups are hunted aggressively, even at the cost of a settled XI.

How to read the PENDING lines: a statistic appears here only when it traces back to the PCB, the league site, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a cross-checked record list. Anything else stays marked PENDING — a gap beats a guess.
Home fixtures bring their own texture: Rawalpindiz play out of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and regulars there know how conditions shift between a fresh pitch in week one and a worn one by the playoffs.
Amad Butt and PSL 12
PSL 12 stretches from 18 March to 2 May 2027, and the calendar hands Rawalpindiz early tests against Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans once the fixture list lands. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
