About Ahmed Daniyal
Every PSL champion's story includes a squad player who became a starter by May. The tournament is too long, and the calendar too crowded, for eleven names to carry a franchise through it.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via Pakistan's age-group and domestic system, the same pipeline the PCB's new pathway tournaments are built to widen. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
How Saud Shakeel builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

Home fixtures bring their own texture: Quetta Gladiators play out of Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (home fixtures), and regulars there know how conditions shift between a fresh pitch in week one and a worn one by the playoffs.
Ahmed Daniyal and PSL 12
Neutral fans should circle Quetta Gladiators's fixtures against Karachi Kings: those are the games where selection gambles get exposed, and where squad depth stops being a theory. What to watch is how the captain uses this player when the match tightens — those overs and those batting positions tell you the real pecking order.
