Laurie Evans goes into the PSL 12 build-up as part of a Rawalpindiz squad that wrapped up the campaign in eighth place with 0 points on the board. The season never matched the auction-day ambition in Rawalpindi.
About Laurie Evans
The batting brief here is about tempo. On true PSL surfaces a set batter is expected to keep the board moving at nine an over without slogging, saving the big swing for the match-ups the analysts have circled.
What stands out on the training ground is consistency of method, the product of a development path through county and franchise cricket across several leagues, a route that hardens players to unfamiliar conditions quickly: versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
Inside the Rawalpindiz XI, the fit is shaped by Mohammad Rizwan's habits: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.
