About Andries Gous
Dew games are the keeper's examination: a wet ball, skidding through at night, with the match in the balance. The ones who stay clean in those overs are remembered by selectors long after the scorecards fade.
Coaches who have worked with players from the global T20 franchise circuit, where short contracts reward players who adapt in days, not weeks tend to say the same thing — versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
How Shadab Khan builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: the top order is given licence early and accountability late.

The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium factor is real in this league: local knowledge of bounce, dew and boundary sizes is worth runs before a ball is bowled, and Islamabad United lean on it at home.
Andries Gous and PSL 12
The season's shape — ten league matches, a four-team playoff squeeze — means slow starts are punished harder than ever; Islamabad United's early fixtures, with sides like Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars in the rotation, will set the tone. Watch the first selection of the season closely. Game-one XIs are the most honest documents in franchise cricket — everything after is adjustment.
