The final

Peshawar Zalmi are PSL champions again. On 3 May 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Zalmi chased down Hyderabad Kingsmen's 129 all out with five wickets in hand and 28 balls to spare, closing the league's first eight-team season with the trophy. Aaron Hardie took the Player of the Match award for 56 not out and 4 for 27 — an all-round performance that broke the final open in both innings. Saim Ayub's 54 off 50 balls was the resistance in Hyderabad's innings.

The title ends a nine-year wait since Peshawar's 2017 crown, also won in Lahore. Zalmi had lost finals in 2018, 2019 and 2021 in between; this time the league's most consistent franchise finally converted. They had topped the league stage with 17 points from ten matches, losing only once, and beat Islamabad United in the Qualifier before finishing the job in the final.

The tournament in numbers

Babar Azam's 588 runs across the season equalled the all-time single-season record set by Fakhar Zaman in 2022, and his 191-run partnership with Kusal Mendis stands as the highest partnership in PSL history. Sufiyan Muqeem, whose 22 wickets led the season, was named Player of the Tournament. Hunain Shah's 17 wickets powered Hyderabad's run from fourth place — after losing their first four matches — through both Eliminators to a debut final.

PSL 11 was a structural landmark: eight franchises for the first time, a first-ever player auction, and two new teams. Hyderabad Kingsmen's run to the final was the expansion story of the year; Rawalpindiz, who spent the most at auction, finished bottom — a warning that PSL 12's January auction will be studied far harder than it is celebrated.
