The day's items, bundled
Minor PSL items are bundled into one dated roundup rather than padded into thin posts. Three items lead today. First, the franchise workshop: the PCB will meet the eight franchises to finalise the retention deadline, the pre-auction trade window, auction rules and playing conditions for PSL 12. Until that workshop reports, retention lists circulating on social media are speculation, and this guide does not publish them as fact.
Second, the auction venue. The player auction is fixed for 23 January 2027, but its venue is not announced. One franchise owner has reportedly proposed holding it in China, which would be a first for the league. That is a proposal reported by CricTracker, not an approved decision — the IPL has held auctions abroad before, so the idea is plausible, but nothing is confirmed.
Third, the talent pathway. The National T20 Gold and National T20 Silver competitions will run as identification events before the auction. For young domestic players, a strong National T20 now leads somewhere concrete: franchise scouts will be watching with squad places genuinely open.
What is still unconfirmed
As of 26 October 2026, the following PSL 12 items remain unannounced: completed direct signings, retention lists, the fixture list and venue split, the auction venue and start time, ticket sales, and the prize-money breakdown. If a claim cannot be traced to the PCB, the league or a reputable cricket outlet, it does not go up.
