When the PSL 11 squads were locked in, Shoriful Islam took a place in a Peshawar Zalmi group that closed the league stage in first place, collecting 1 points along the way. Zalmi then converted that dominance into the title, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final.
About Shoriful Islam
The PSL has become a fast bowler's league in reputation, but the specialists who last are the ones who adapt: slower balls on holding surfaces, hard lengths on true ones, and a yorker that lands under pressure in May heat.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via county and franchise cricket across several leagues, a route that hardens players to unfamiliar conditions quickly. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
How Babar Azam builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

The Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar factor is real in this league: local knowledge of bounce, dew and boundary sizes is worth runs before a ball is bowled, and Peshawar Zalmi lean on it at home.
Shoriful Islam and PSL 12
With five to six venues in the PSL 12 plan, adaptability becomes a selection criterion in itself — the Peshawar Zalmi staff will weigh it before the opener against opponents such as Quetta Gladiators or Lahore Qalandars. The honest measure will be the big moments — a qualifier, a chase under lights, a final over. That is where squad reputations in this league are made.
