When the PSL 11 squads were locked in, Aaron Hardie took a place in a Peshawar Zalmi group that closed the league stage in first place, collecting 1 points along the way. Zalmi then converted that dominance into the title, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final.
About Aaron Hardie
Aaron Hardie was Player of the Match in the PSL 11 final, scoring 56 not out and taking 4 for 27 as Peshawar Zalmi beat Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Franchises hunt this profile at auction for a reason: one player covering two selection problems is worth more than the sum of the two halves. The bidding wars at the first auction started here.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via county and franchise cricket across several leagues, a route that hardens players to unfamiliar conditions quickly. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case the workload is managed like a senior professional's, whatever the birth certificate says.
Selection logic at Peshawar Zalmi starts with balance, and Babar Azam's sides usually reflect it: spin is trusted through the middle overs even on true surfaces.

Evening games at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar have a particular rhythm — heat early, dew late — and Peshawar Zalmi's planning all season bends around it.
Aaron Hardie and PSL 12
With five to six venues in the PSL 12 plan, adaptability becomes a selection criterion in itself — the Peshawar Zalmi staff will weigh it before the opener against opponents such as Karachi Kings or Islamabad United. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
