There was no quiet way into PSL 11 for Hyderabad Kingsmen: a new auction, a new structure, and Shayan Jahangir inside a squad that ended the season in fourth place on 0 points. The Kingsmen then stormed through both Eliminators to reach a debut final.
About Shayan Jahangir
The keeper sees more of the game than anyone: angles, lengths, a batter's trigger movements. Captains lean on that view, which makes this role part technician, part on-field analyst.
What stands out on the training ground is consistency of method, the product of a development path through a career built across domestic cricket at home and franchise stops abroad, the modern T20 professional's map: versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
Selection logic at Hyderabad Kingsmen starts with balance, and Marnus Labuschagne's sides usually reflect it: youth is backed in clusters rather than one experiment at a time.

How to read the PENDING lines: a statistic appears here only when it traces back to the PCB, the league site, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a cross-checked record list. Anything else stays marked PENDING — a gap beats a guess.
The Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad (proposed) factor is real in this league: local knowledge of bounce, dew and boundary sizes is worth runs before a ball is bowled, and Hyderabad Kingsmen lean on it at home.
Shayan Jahangir and PSL 12
Neutral fans should circle Hyderabad Kingsmen's fixtures against Lahore Qalandars: those are the games where selection gambles get exposed, and where squad depth stops being a theory. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
