About Rizwan Mehmood
Every PSL champion's story includes a squad player who became a starter by May. The tournament is too long, and the calendar too crowded, for eleven names to carry a franchise through it.
The road here ran through franchise and domestic cricket inside Pakistan, where a single strong season can redraw a career, and it shows in the way the role is played: preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
How Marnus Labuschagne builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

Why some lines say PENDING: this guide refuses to estimate career numbers. If the PCB, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a checked record list has not published it, the line waits.
The Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad (proposed) factor is real in this league: local knowledge of bounce, dew and boundary sizes is worth runs before a ball is bowled, and Hyderabad Kingsmen lean on it at home.
Rizwan Mehmood and PSL 12
A title defence, a rebuild, a point to prove — every franchise carries a label into PSL 12. For Hyderabad Kingsmen, the label matters less than the first fortnight, when Quetta Gladiators-calibre opposition usually exposes weak combinations. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
