Khushdil Shah profile
Coaches describe this role as the team's spare wheel and engine in one. When injuries hit a long season, the all-rounder's workload quietly doubles, and squads are judged on how well they planned for exactly that.
The road here ran through franchise and domestic cricket inside Pakistan, where a single strong season can redraw a career, and it shows in the way the role is played: match awareness — reading a chase, a pitch, a bowler's plan — tends to run ahead of raw numbers.
How David Warner builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

How to read the PENDING lines: a statistic appears here only when it traces back to the PCB, the league site, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a cross-checked record list. Anything else stays marked PENDING — a gap beats a guess.
There is a home-ground education every Karachi Kings player absorbs — National Bank Stadium, Karachi rewards some habits and punishes others, and the learning curve is part of the season.
Khushdil Shah and PSL 12
Neutral fans should circle Karachi Kings's fixtures against Lahore Qalandars: those are the games where selection gambles get exposed, and where squad depth stops being a theory. Form in the National T20 pathway events also matters now, with the PCB using them as a talent-identification route into the auction.
