As Rawalpindiz rebuilt through the first-ever PSL auction, Jalat Khan became part of a squad that ended the season in eighth place on 0 points. The season never matched the auction-day ambition in Rawalpindi.
Jalat Khan profile
The jump from squad member to regular is the PSL's quiet storyline every season. It usually starts with one opportunity nobody planned — and a player who had clearly been waiting for exactly that.
The road here ran through Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers, and it shows in the way the role is played: versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
Selection logic at Rawalpindiz starts with balance, and Mohammad Rizwan's sides usually reflect it: the top order is given licence early and accountability late.

There is a home-ground education every Rawalpindiz player absorbs — Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium rewards some habits and punishes others, and the learning curve is part of the season.
Jalat Khan and PSL 12
The season's shape — ten league matches, a four-team playoff squeeze — means slow starts are punished harder than ever; Rawalpindiz's early fixtures, with sides like Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings in the rotation, will set the tone. Watch the first selection of the season closely. Game-one XIs are the most honest documents in franchise cricket — everything after is adjustment.
