Ask Quetta Gladiators regulars about the PSL 11 roster and Jahanzaib Sultan features early in the conversation about a squad that turned ten league games into 0 points and seventh place in the final table. It was a season of transition for the Gladiators.
Jahanzaib Sultan profile
Depth wins long tournaments. A 44-match season with travel between up to six venues tests every name on the roster, and squad players who stay ready tend to decide at least one match each season.
Coaches who have worked with players from Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers tend to say the same thing — preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
Selection logic at Quetta Gladiators starts with balance, and Saud Shakeel's sides usually reflect it: spin is trusted through the middle overs even on true surfaces.

There is a home-ground education every Quetta Gladiators player absorbs — Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (home fixtures) rewards some habits and punishes others, and the learning curve is part of the season.
Jahanzaib Sultan and PSL 12
Between the 23 January auction and the 18 March opener there are barely seven weeks to turn a squad list into a team. Quetta Gladiators's pre-season will be judged on exactly that conversion. Keep an eye on match-ups: PSL captains are ruthless about exploiting one weak over or one favourable boundary size.
