Most Wickets in PSL History

Career leaders, the 25-wicket season record, and the Maroon Cap story

All PSL records →

Hasan Ali owns the PSL bowling book. His 125 career wickets through 2025 lead the all-time list, and his 25 wickets in the 2019 season remain the single-season record — a mark that has survived the league's expansion, flatter pitches and bigger bats. The method is worth noting: Hasan's PSL wickets have come in bursts, with changes of pace on two-paced surfaces doing the damage that raw speed does elsewhere.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is the record's great chaser and its most decorated season bowler: three Maroon Caps as a season's top wicket-taker (2020, 2022, 2025), more than any other bowler. Published career totals for Shaheen differ between lists — 127 in one, 138 in another — so this page carries his season records, which are consistent, and flags the career figure as under cross-check rather than printing a number it cannot stand over. PSL 11 added a new name to the top of the season charts: Sufiyan Muqeem's 22 wickets for the champions.
