Career leaders, the 588 season record, and each season's top scorer
All PSL records →The PSL run charts start and end with one name. Babar Azam accumulated 3,792 runs across the league's first ten seasons — the most in its history — through a method built on orthodoxy at T20 speed: few dot balls, a heavy diet of boundaries along the ground, and an average that survived a decade of changing conditions from Dubai to Rawalpindi. In PSL 11 he added 588 more runs, matching Fakhar Zaman's 2022 mark for the most in a single season, and captained Peshawar Zalmi to the title while doing it.
Fakhar Zaman's 588 in 2022 came the other way — violence at the top of the order for Lahore Qalandars in their first title season. That two opposite methods hold the same record says plenty about the PSL's range. Mohammad Rizwan, the Multan-era metronome now captaining Rawalpindi, sits behind them in the career list with more than 2,700 runs and the wicketkeeping dismissals record besides.

*Published season charts differ in one detail: some lists credit Mohammad Rizwan with 588 in 2022. The record lists checked for this site credit the 588 mark to Fakhar Zaman (2022), shared with Babar Azam (2026); the conflict is shown here rather than silently resolved. Full season-by-season tables are being cross-checked against official scorecards and marked PENDING where lists disagree.
Babar Azam scored the most runs in PSL 11 (2026) with 588 — equalling the all-time single-season record. He also finished the season as the league's career record holder by a wide margin.
Babar Azam leads the PSL's half-century charts as well as its run charts, with more than thirty PSL fifties across eleven seasons — part of the same body of work that makes him the league's most prolific batter.
