Wasim Akram Jnr profile
Squad roles in an eight-team PSL are not ceremonial. Injuries, international call-ups and form swings open doors every season, and the players who took their chance in PSL 11 often started the season outside the first XI.
What stands out on the training ground is consistency of method, the product of a development path through franchise and domestic cricket inside Pakistan, where a single strong season can redraw a career: match awareness — reading a chase, a pitch, a bowler's plan — tends to run ahead of raw numbers.
Selection logic at Quetta Gladiators starts with balance, and Saud Shakeel's sides usually reflect it: the bowling attack is rotated by venue more than by reputation.

Why some lines say PENDING: this guide refuses to estimate career numbers. If the PCB, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a checked record list has not published it, the line waits.
Ask the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (home fixtures) crowd what they expect and the answer is rarely subtle. Quetta Gladiators players feel that expectation most on the nights the season tilts.
Wasim Akram Jnr and PSL 12
PSL 12 stretches from 18 March to 2 May 2027, and the calendar hands Quetta Gladiators early tests against Islamabad United and Hyderabad Kingsmen once the fixture list lands. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
