Tayyab Tahir — the full profile
Coaching staffs judge squad players on readiness: nets intensity, fielding standards, and whether the first chance — whenever it lands — finds them prepared. The ones who pass that test keep getting contracts.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via franchise and domestic cricket inside Pakistan, where a single strong season can redraw a career. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case versatility is the calling card: roles shift, standards do not.
Selection logic at Lahore Qalandars starts with balance, and Shaheen Shah Afridi's sides usually reflect it: spin is trusted through the middle overs even on true surfaces.

Why some lines say PENDING: this guide refuses to estimate career numbers. If the PCB, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a checked record list has not published it, the line waits.
There is a home-ground education every Lahore Qalandars player absorbs — Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore rewards some habits and punishes others, and the learning curve is part of the season.
Tayyab Tahir and PSL 12
A title defence, a rebuild, a point to prove — every franchise carries a label into PSL 12. For Lahore Qalandars, the label matters less than the first fortnight, when Multan Sultans-calibre opposition usually exposes weak combinations. The telling stat will not be the headline one. It will be performance in the phase this player is actually bought for — and whether it survives contact with the playoffs.
