Sahibzada Farhan — the full profile
As a specialist batter, the job is simple to describe and hard to do: score quickly without giving the innings away cheaply. Coaches judge this role on intent in the powerplay and calm under a rising required rate.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case preparation is treated as part of performance, not a warm-up for it.
Inside the Multan Sultans XI, the fit is shaped by Ashton Turner's habits: match-ups are hunted aggressively, even at the cost of a settled XI.

Travel changes the equation too. A squad based around Multan Cricket Stadium still has to win in Karachi, Lahore or wherever the fixture list sends them, and away points decided the playoff line last season.
Sahibzada Farhan and PSL 12
Between the 23 January auction and the 18 March opener there are barely seven weeks to turn a squad list into a team. Multan Sultans's pre-season will be judged on exactly that conversion. The honest measure will be the big moments — a qualifier, a chase under lights, a final over. That is where squad reputations in this league are made.
