There was no quiet way into PSL 11 for Peshawar Zalmi: a new auction, a new structure, and Nahid Rana inside a squad that closed the league stage in first place, collecting 1 points along the way. Zalmi then converted that dominance into the title, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final.
About Nahid Rana
Death bowling is a separate skill in this competition, practised like a trade. The bowlers who own the final four overs get retained; the ones who leak there get auctioned. Every spell in that phase is an audition.
Coaches who have worked with players from county and franchise cricket across several leagues, a route that hardens players to unfamiliar conditions quickly tend to say the same thing — the workload is managed like a senior professional's, whatever the birth certificate says.
How Babar Azam builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: pace is held back for the death wherever possible.

Why some lines say PENDING: this guide refuses to estimate career numbers. If the PCB, ESPNcricinfo, Wisden or a checked record list has not published it, the line waits.
Home fixtures bring their own texture: Peshawar Zalmi play out of Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar, and regulars there know how conditions shift between a fresh pitch in week one and a worn one by the playoffs.
Nahid Rana and PSL 12
A title defence, a rebuild, a point to prove — every franchise carries a label into PSL 12. For Peshawar Zalmi, the label matters less than the first fortnight, when Islamabad United-calibre opposition usually exposes weak combinations. What to watch is how the captain uses this player when the match tightens — those overs and those batting positions tell you the real pecking order.
