There was no quiet way into PSL 11 for Lahore Qalandars: a new auction, a new structure, and Mustafizur Rahman inside a squad that wrapped up the campaign in fifth place with 0 points on the board. It was a rare early exit for the three-time champions.
Mustafizur Rahman — the full profile
The PSL has become a fast bowler's league in reputation, but the specialists who last are the ones who adapt: slower balls on holding surfaces, hard lengths on true ones, and a yorker that lands under pressure in May heat.
Coaches who have worked with players from a career built across domestic cricket at home and franchise stops abroad, the modern T20 professional's map tend to say the same thing — the workload is managed like a senior professional's, whatever the birth certificate says.
How Shaheen Shah Afridi builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: spin is trusted through the middle overs even on true surfaces.

There is a home-ground education every Lahore Qalandars player absorbs — Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore rewards some habits and punishes others, and the learning curve is part of the season.
Mustafizur Rahman and PSL 12
The season's shape — ten league matches, a four-team playoff squeeze — means slow starts are punished harder than ever; Lahore Qalandars's early fixtures, with sides like Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United in the rotation, will set the tone. What to watch is how the captain uses this player when the match tightens — those overs and those batting positions tell you the real pecking order.
