Arafat Minhas — the full profile
Coaching staffs judge squad players on readiness: nets intensity, fielding standards, and whether the first chance — whenever it lands — finds them prepared. The ones who pass that test keep getting contracts.
There is a pattern to players who arrive via Pakistan's domestic circuit, where the National T20 and first-class grind still shape most PSL careers. They tend to be tactically literate early, and in this case match awareness — reading a chase, a pitch, a bowler's plan — tends to run ahead of raw numbers.
How Ashton Turner builds an innings decides where this player lands in the order of things: the top order is given licence early and accountability late.

Arafat Minhas and PSL 12
With five to six venues in the PSL 12 plan, adaptability becomes a selection criterion in itself — the Multan Sultans staff will weigh it before the opener against opponents such as Rawalpindiz or Lahore Qalandars. Form in the National T20 pathway events also matters now, with the PCB using them as a talent-identification route into the auction.
